The experience of modern warfare and the results scientific research show that an important most effective means solving tasks special physical training military personnel is use exercises sports, which are closest in terms movements used nature exertion to their professional activities. One these applied all-around and, above all, pentathlon. Taking it allows you adequately develop necessary qualities, form military-applied skills, improve techniques actions, educate moral mental qualities personnel. purposeof work study state development formation motor skills types activities pentathlon, belong athletics. Research material methods. To achieve this goal, a complex methods was applied, namely: general (analysis methodical literature), pedagogical (testing, experiment), sociological (written survey using questionnaire), mathematical statistics 300 cadet athletes from various higher educational institutions took part study. Results. conducted studies objectively process developing sports we studying improved. greater difference level preparation, indicators.
